A girl and her horse

I have had this vision in my mind for a while now… sort of Greek goddess inspired but still very much Hawaii, intimate and sexy. When I saw the Starburt (the horse) I knew just who I could envision on top of this 1200 pound muscle machine of a horse.  I contacted Jasmine and  I got lucky! Jasmine agreed  to the sunrise horse beach session. The day of the shoot was Jasmine’s birthday and we could not ask for a better setting or weather!!  Starburt was stunningly beautiful, fun to work with and made me push myself as a photographer. Which I dig! Working with animals is always a challenge but lucky for me I had Lisa there (the most amazing handler possible). My make-up artist nailed the makeup, in the dark, while using the lights from my tailgate! That’s how the pros do it folks! For you ladies who aren’t morning people and you’re sitting at home loving these images but are rolling your eyes thinking.. “Yea right, I wouldn’t be getting up at 3am for a sunrise shoot. HA FAT CHANCE!” Let me tell you, its WORTH it. The light, the sky, the colors… just perfect. But we had help… we grabbed coffee… lots of coffee. Starbucks knows my name. 🙂 Jasmine, was stunningly beautiful, flawless even. Can you believe she just had a baby a few months ago? All her surfing has paid off! YOU GO GIRL!!  She made posing look easy and effortless. I was so happy she could do this for her birthday, she left radiant and ready to start her birthday festivities.  What an awesome birthday present?!! I would absolutely love to work more with horses and the beach! And of course beautiful clients who love both also!! I received nothing but happy thoughts from Jasmine when she saw her finished photos. Happy Clients… that’s what life is all about. I constantly feel so blessed… How many people get to have such a remarkable team equipped with a beautiful client and horse to be their muses? And do it all in Hawaii? #swoon
